Wenda's Wisdom on INCLUSIVITY

I attended a SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) conference a couple of years ago and I loved how the speaker on this topic began the session. She said, "You know if you are included or not because you feel it first." As one of the top three things couples and party hosts are considering in 2020, the other two are sustainability and budget, by the way, inclusivity has become an action with several dimensions. How do YOU know when you are included? How do YOU feel when you are/are not included? Use this simple set of two questions to determine your approach to inclusivity. Luckily, there are a variety of ways to be inclusive: theme, size of event, multiple events, food, traditions, performances, and that's just to name a few. If you are blending the list above, find out who feels strongest about what and how their wants/needs can be fulfilled while also meeting yours. This topic that can be a challenge can also morph into an amazing presentation of inclusivity. Rock your inclusivity, you'll be glad you did.
